The encoder works with motor shafts, gives position data, works in dust and dirt, and helps control motors in different places.

Same Sky’s Motion & Control Group has expanded its AMT absolute encoder family with the new AMT25 series, designed to support motor shaft sizes from 9 mm to 15.875 mm (5/8 inch). It uses Same Sky’s proprietary capacitive ASIC technology.
The AMT25 absolute encoder is suitable for industrial automation companies, robotics manufacturers, CNC and machine tool builders, medical equipment makers, aerospace and defense contractors, electric motor OEMs, renewable energy systems, and packaging or material handling industries—any application that requires precise, reliable, and compact position sensing for motor control in demanding environments.
The series maintains the same durability, accuracy, and resistance to dust, dirt, and other particulates as existing AMT models. It offers 12-bit or 14-bit absolute position output and supports both single-turn and multi-turn options. Full duplex SPI communication ensures fast and accurate data transfer.
Some of the key features of the AMT25 series include:
- Supports motor shaft sizes from 9 mm to 15.875 mm (5/8 inch)
- Uses Same Sky’s proprietary capacitive ASIC technology
- Provides 12-bit or 14-bit absolute position output
- Supports both single-turn and multi-turn options
- Full duplex SPI communication for fast and accurate data transfer
- Maintains durability and accuracy in presence of dust, dirt, and particulates
- Delivers reliable position data in harsh environments
- Suitable for a wide range of industries and applications needing precise motor control
Users get reliable, high-precision position data even in challenging environments, helping improve system performance and reduce downtime caused by contamination.
