Engineered for work in wireless, radar, aerospace, and quantum research, these new high-speed AWGs feature 16-bit resolution, up to 3.9 GHz bandwidth, and advanced synchronization.

Spectrum Instrumentation has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of four high-performance Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWGs), targeting engineers and scientists working on advanced RF and microwave applications. These next-generation AWGs offer sampling rates up to 10 GS/s, 16-bit vertical resolution, and bandwidths reaching 3.9 GHz—making them ideal for cutting-edge research and development in areas such as 5G/6G communications, radar systems, aerospace testing, and quantum technologies.
The new AWGs are available in two form factors: PCIe cards for high-speed data streaming up to 10 GB/s, and compact stand-alone NETBOX units that connect easily via Ethernet to any PC or network. Both versions are designed for seamless integration into automated test systems and offer advanced features, including:
- 10 GS/s output rates for ultra-fast waveform generation
- 16-bit resolution for precise signal fidelity
- Up to 3.9 GHz bandwidth, ideal for realistic RF/microwave signal reproduction
- Single-ended or differential outputs with up to 4V swing
- Multi-channel synchronization for complex simulations
- 8 GSample per channel memory, ensuring waveform flexibility
AWGs are well-suited for demanding applications such as simulating radar pulses, testing wideband communication standards, or generating experimental signals for physics research. The devices come with an extensive software package supporting Windows and Linux, including drivers and programming examples for C/C++, Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW. Spectrum’s SBench 6 software offers intuitive GUI-based control. A 5-year warranty, free lifetime software and firmware updates, and direct technical support from the engineers who designed the products are also included.
“This launch represents a major leap forward for us,” said Oliver Rovini, CTO at Spectrum Instrumentation. “It’s our first entry into high-bandwidth signal generation, and we’re doing it with a product line that delivers top-tier performance and versatility.”
