Certified for railway and industrial use, these compact SIP-8 modules ensure reliable performance in harsh environments.

TRACO Power has introduced the TMR 10WIR series, a new line of 10 Watt DC/DC converters designed for demanding transportation and industrial environments. These converters are housed in a SIP-8 metal case and are engineered to operate across a wide 4:1 input voltage range. Available input ranges include 9–36 VDC, 18–75 VDC, and 36–160 VDC, addressing the requirements of various railway and industrial power systems.
The series meets key industry certifications, including EN 50155 and EN 61373, making it suitable for use in railway systems. The devices are also qualified according to the fire behavior standard EN 45545-2, as well as safety approvals based on IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 standards. These certifications help ensure that the series supports compliance with regulatory requirements in transportation and related sectors.
The key specifications include:
- 3,000 VDC input-to-output isolation
- Up to 89% efficiency
- Operates in –40°C to +75°C temperature range
The series is designed to deliver operational reliability in electrically noisy environments. The converters achieve good efficiencies enabling operation over a wide temperature range without the need for performance derating. This feature supports use in systems where thermal management is limited.
The TMR 10WIR series includes integrated functions such as protection against overload and short circuit, along with a remote On/Off capability. These features help simplify the design-in process for engineers by reducing the need for external components and enhancing system-level protection.
TRACO Power offers a 3-year product warranty for the TMR 10WIR series, reflecting its commitment to long-term performance. Designed for applications where electrical isolation, compliance, and environmental resistance are required, this new product line is positioned for integration into railway, transportation, and other industrial systems.
