RECOM has launched an addition to its AC/DC converter lineup with the new RAC15-K/WI, a compact 15W board-mount power supply that boasts an exceptionally wide input voltage range of 18-264VAC or 18-375VDC. Designed for versatility, this miniature module fits into a 1.5” x 2” (52.5mm x 40mm) footprint and comes with either an industry-standard pinout or flying wire connections. The unit delivers fully regulated DC outputs ranging from 5V to 54V, making it ideal for a wide array of applications.
The key features are:
- High operating efficiency in a compact footprint
- Delivers full 15W output typically above 48VAC input and up to 60°C ambient
- Maintains usable power levels down to 18VAC input
- Operates in high ambient temperatures up to 85°C with convection cooling
- Output power varies with voltage selection and temperature conditions
Designed for robust performance, it meets stringent safety and compliance standards. It is a Class II device with reinforced isolation in line with UL/IEC/EN/CAN-CSA 62368-1 for AV and IT equipment, and IEC/EN 60335-1 for household appliances. It also achieves Class B EMC compliance and meets eco-design requirements for standby and no-load power consumption. The output is classified as a Limited Power Source (LPS) and includes comprehensive protection against short circuits and overvoltage. Rated for Over-Voltage Category III, the input is qualified for operation up to 3000 meters altitude.
